The Ukrmetalurgpom Association has suggested Ukrzaliznytsia initiate sales of large volumes of metal scrap by a separate individual decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, if the bureaucratic obstacles are not overcome.
“We discussed this issue back in winter, and we were told that it would be solved within a couple of weeks. It’s April already, and there are risks that the story will be repeated. So I suggest an alternative way: launch a parallel process for the Cabinet of Ministers to issue an individual permission to Ukrzaliznytsia to sell scrap via the Prozorro.Sales system,” the enterprise president Olexander Kalenkov has said.
According to him, since October 2023, when Ukrzaliznytsia suspended sales, it has accumulated a considerable volume of scrap. (Ukrainian metal)
