President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev named the exploration and production of critical minerals a promising area of the cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
According to him, rare-earth metals became an important component for a wide range of technologies. They are needed for the achievement of net-zero emissions, including in such strategic sectors as industry, digital technologies, space and defense.
He said that Kazakhstan kept on working with the international partners on effective methods of exploration of the country’s major deposits of uranium, lithium, titanium and other rare-earth elements. (Kazinform)
