Last year, Interpipe was able to increase sales of niche pipe products to the European Union several-fold.

According to the first deputy CEO Denis Morozov, the company used the capacities of its R&D center to benefit from the temporary cancellation of duties and quotas on the European Union market and start producing unique goods for the European machine-building.

“We have mastered the development of more than 100 types of new products for Europe and plan to master 200 more. For example, we have started producing axis for trucks. One of our customers ordered pipes with the length of 14 meters. There were no vehicles to transport it!” he said.

He noted it was not easy to become a supplier to major European companies.

“Working on general standards is one thing. Yet almost each company in the EU has its own, more strict standards. Thus, to work in small niches of high-quality products, not only intellect is needed, but also high level,” Morozov claimed. (Ukrainian metal)
