In January-August, Ukraine exported 117.464 thousand tons of ferrous scrap, up 3.9-fold YoY.

Revenue grew 2.7-fold, to $34.127 million.

According to the State Customs Service, since March there has been an increase in exports: in January Ukraine exported 8.28 thousand tons of scrap, in February – 16.5 thousand tons, in March – 15.45 thousand tons, in April – 16.19 thousand tons, in May – 21 thousand tons, in June – 14.6 thousand tons, in July – 9.567 thousand tons and in August – 15.849 thousand tons.

The main customer was Poland (86.2%), followed by Greece (7.91%) and Bulgaria (3.19%).

While in January-February Ukraine did not import scrap, in March-August imports totaled 681 tons for $261 thousand (49.43% from Slovakia, 21.07% from Poland and 10.73% from Estonia). (Ukrainian metal)
