Metinvest has launched mass manufacture of engineering structures acting as catchers of Lancets (Russian kamikaze drones), protecting expensive military machines from the enemy drone attacks.
So far, Metinvest has provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine with 32 structures free of charge, which are already in use at the hottest spots of the front.
“Metinvest steel saves and protects. This is the main idea that we use in our work launching manufacture of this or that product that helps the Armed Forces. From the start of the war those were bullet-proof vests, then shelters, additional armor, military dummies and now – Lancet-catchers,” the Metinvest COO Oleksandr Mironenko has said.
The structures are built in close cooperation with the military.
The catchers have already proven themselves as a reliable protection element that stops enemy drones.
The weight of each movable shelter with the length of 10 meters and height of 5 meters is around 1 ton.
The shelter comprises steel frame and wire mesh with camouflage elements.
Metinvest is able to produce up to 5 Lancet-catchers per week. (Ukrainian metal)
