ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih will be able to return to the output capacity loading at the level of 33-35% after it has enough water, and when the blast furnace No. 6 is repaired at the end of the year, to the level of 50%.

In the next couple of weeks, AMKR intends to receive additional 1 thousand cubic meters of water per hour from the reservoir due to the construction of the new water pipeline.

“When the water level is enough for the citizens, we will get additional water to resume operation. With the current water supply level, we have to decide each day what asset to operate. Now the coke-oven batteries Nos. 5 and 6 are in operation, while the blast furnace No. 8, metal manufacture and rolling mills operate depending on the water availability,” the company CEO Mauro Longobardo has said.
