In late June, the Eastern interregional department of the State Tax Service on operation with major taxpayers denied Zaporizhstal the reimbursement of VAT for March-April in the amount of over 350 million UAH.
According to the company, this decision violates Tax Code that guarantees the business the reimbursement of VAT.
The company also has the right not to pay some taxes for 2022, but even despite the war, has not used it. The sum of such payment made to the state budget of Ukraine and the local budget exceeds 350 million UAH.
In its decision, the Tax Service mentions the order of the President of Ukraine sanctioning some shareholders of Zaporizhstal.
The company claims that such shareholders are not among the management of Zaporizhstal. The sanctions apply to certain physical and legal persons and do not affect the company operation. Moreover, Zaporizhstal itself is not under sanctions.
Thus, Zaporizhstal insists on revision of the Tax Service decision. (Ukrainian metal)
