Velta intends to construct a manufacturing complex in three stages with the titanium power output of 10 thousand tons in 5.5 years.
The first stage will last for 18 months and will see the output at 1 thousand tons and investments at $100 million.
The second stage (20 months) will increase output to 5 thousand tons and investments to $400 million, and the third stage (26 months) – 10 thousand tons and investments to $1 billion.
At the first stage 200 people will be employed, at the second – 950 and at the third – 2150.
The USA has put titanium into the list of critically important materials and intends to decrease its dependence on China.
At the same time, Ukraine is on the fourth place in the world by ilmenite (titanium) ore reserves. (Ukrainian metal)
