Due to logistics limitations, in 2022 Zaporizhstal worked at 50% of its capacity.
According to the CEO Roman Slobodyanyuk, at the end of last year the company had to additionally decrease capacity due to the lack of electricity connected with Russian missile attacks on energy infrastructure.
“At the end of 2022 we faced problems in energy sphere. Because of this even the volumes we were able to reach in H1 2022 we can no longer maintain. Electricity limitations force us to shut down our manufacturing capacities each day. And this affects the manufacturing process,” he said.
Despite difficulties, the company continues operating and supporting the country economy. Thus, last year Zaporizhstal paid almost 700 million UAH to the local budget, down by 25% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
