In 2022, Ukraine decreased exports of semi-finished carbon steel products by 72% YoY, to 1.889 million tons.
According to the State Customs Service, in monetary terms exports have fallen by 80.9%, to $1.191 billion.
The main customers were Bulgaria (26.55% in monetary terms), Poland (13.97%) and Italy (12.13%).
Last year, Ukraine imported 5.558 thousand tons of semi-finished carbon steel products valued at $3.634 million, down by 85.7% and by 86% respectively.
The suppliers were Russia (96.92%, before the invasion), China (1.84%) and Romania (1.21%). (Ukrainian metal)
