Sanctions must be applied against the entire Russian metal complex, while Ukrainian metal companies must get full access to the American market, the first vice prime minister, minister of economy of Ukraine Yuliya Sviridenko has said at the meeting with the secretary of commerce of the USA Gina Raimondo.
“Steel is the sphere in which we are particularly interested in the expansion of sanctions against Russia and our access to the American market. All Russian metal products must be sanctioned by the USA. For this we ask to include Ukrainian ore and other products in the Western chain of deliveries and replace Russia on these markets. It is also important to equal Ukrainian ore and pig iron to the EU products and extend tax exemptions, at least until the end of 2024,” she said. (Ukrainian metal)
