Under his “Steel Front” initiative, the Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov has provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine with 25 mobile shelters made of steel.

There are plans to provide 30 such shelters each month.

The shelters were developed by Metinvest. They represent a full-scale housing: they have a rest zone, a place for a stove and pipes, water drains and an auxiliary exit with stairs.

When such a shelter is situated 1.5 meters under the ground, it could withstand a 152mm artillery shell hit.

The metal structure can be delivered anywhere and assembled on site.

The manufacture costs 200 thousand UAH apiece.

Ukrainian army receives them for free. (Ukrainian metal)
