Following the large-scale aggression of Azerbaijan against Armenia on September 13, the operation of the Sotskiy gold mine was suspended.
“The mine was out of operation for 3 days only. Now it operates at 40% of its capacity. That is, only 40% of the employees are working and their safety is ensured. But many still fear for their lives,” the governor of Gegarkunik region Karen Sarkisyan has told the foreign diplomats during their visit.
The GeoProMining enterprises operate at the mine. This is the largest gold ore deposit in Armenia. (Ukrainian metal)
