In May, Almalyk Mining and Processing Works launched a new site in its pyrro-metallurgical shop to produce metallic molybdenum.
Lately, the site has been able to launch the production of metallic molybdenum with the purity of 99.97%.
The previous record was 96.4%.
The capacity of the shop is 820 thousand tons of molybdenum products per year and that of the new site – 400 tons. So far, 1 ton has been produced.
