In 2021, Ukraine imported $183.161 million worth of copper and copper wares, up by 59% YoY. Exports grew 2.4-fold, to $206.39 million.
According to the State Customs Service, in December 2021, copper imports amounted to $19.729 million, while exports – $14.351 million.
Moreover, in 2021 Ukraine imported $119.154 million worth of nickel ($11.53 million in December 2021), up by 45.8%, $511.19 million worth of aluminum ($58.774 million), up by 30.2%, $8.512 million worth of lead ($0.427 million), down by 7.8%, $4.977 million worth of tin ($750 thousand), up by 75.2%, and $93.635 million worth of zinc ($6.946 million), up by 62.9%.
Aluminum export in 2021 grew by 53.9%, to $169.094 million ($14.575 million in December 2021), lead – by 52.8%, to $38.229 million ($2.722 million), nickel – by 55%, to $4.856 million ($0.614 million), zinc – 8-fold, to $550 thousand ($142 thousand), and tin – 2-fold, to $346 thousand ($126 thousand).
