In 2021, Ukraine procured 4.136 million tons of scrap, up by 34.6% YoY.
According to the UAVtormet Association, scrap deliveries to metal companies grew by 15%, to 3.323 million tons.
Exports went up 17-fold, to 615.7 thousand tons, while import dropped by 12.8%, to 23 thousand tons.
As of January 1, scrap reserves amounted to 180-185 thousand tons.
This year, UAVtormet expects scrap procurement to amount to 2.95-3 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
