Kyrgyzstan imposed a temporary ban on the export of scrap metal outside the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The corresponding decree of the Cabinet of Ministers was signed by its head Akylbek Japarov.

The document stipulates that within six months it is forbidden to export scrap and waste of ferrous metals from Kyrgyzstan outside the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as ingots of ferrous metals for melting.

The Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic was instructed to notify the Committee on Safeguards of the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission of the introduction of the ban. In turn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must notify the CIS Executive Committee of the ban. (24.kg/Ukrainian metal)
