In 2021, Centravis will invest 140 million UAH in energy efficiency and environment protection.
“That’s around 4 million EUR, while overall investments will amount to 8 million EUR”, the company CEO Yuri Atanasov said.
In particular, the company plans to completely reconstruct its pipe chemical treatment shop, construct an acid waste reagent cleaning system and switch to autonomous module boiler houses.
95% of Centravis products are exported. Among its clients are the world leaders BWM, Alstom Linde, Samsung and Volkswagen.
The company is preparing for another environment audit according to ISO 14000.
Moreover, Centravis has stopped buying cheap Chinese stainless steel.
“The Chinese technique is the dirtiest. Energy-burdensome manufacture is carried out by processing nickel from thin ore, mined in Indonesia”, Atanasov said.
Centravis buys steel produced in electric arc furnaces using a lot of scrap. This manufacture conforms to the current European demands. (Ukrainian metal)
