In May, average wages in the mining and metal industry increased.
Ferrous metallurgy enterprises witnessed the largest growth – by 8%, to 20.1 thousand UAH.
At by-product coke plants the average salary was 20.2 thousand UAH (+5%), at pipe companies – 15.1 thousand UAH (+2.1%), at mining enterprises – 19.2 thousand UAH (+3.1%), in non-ferrous metallurgy – 12.4 thousand UAH (+3.9%) and in metallurgy as a whole – 18.1 thousand UAH (+6.7%).
According to the State Statistics Service, the average salary in Ukraine in May amounted to 13.5 thousand UAH (-0.3%). (Ukrainian metal)
