The State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine has held a repeated auction to sell special licenses for the land plot of the Zalesy-Shmenki ore field with copper ore reserves in Volyn region.
The size of the land plot is 2337 ha.
Copper reserves are estimated at 95 thousand tons.
The Symbol foundry has won the auction having offered 81.005 million UAH ($3 million) for the plot.
The initial price was exceeded 1902-fold.
The repeated auction was announced as the winner of the first one did not pay in time. During the first auction, the final price was 20.5 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
