In January-March, Kyrgyzstan exported 2.448 tons of gold valued at $140.3 million as opposed to 4.183 tons at $212.9 million in Q1 2020.

In 2020, the state already expected the decrease in gold output.

According to the Ministry of Economy, this year Kumtor will decrease output by 4.3% mostly due to lower gold content in ore.

The ministry expects Kumtor to produce 16 tons of gold this year, down from 17.7 tons last year.

Kumtor Gold Company believes the output to be 14.62-15.86 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
