In January-March, Russia produced 58.02 tons of gold, down by 4.6% YoY.

The share of extracted gold was 80.7%, or 46.85 tons, down by 2.6%.

Amur region demonstrated the largest drop – to 3.8 tons from 6.6 tons in Q1 2020.

Krasnoyarsk region produced the most gold – 11.8 tons, up by 0.6%, followed by Magadan region with 7.04 tons, up by 12.7%, and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with 5.05 tons, up by 4.4%.

Manufacture of secondary and by-product gold decreased by 12.2%.

Silver output grew by 12.3%, to 236.74 tons, with extracted silver up from 95.97 tons to 100.85 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
