In January-March, Ukraine scrap procurement grew by 28.2% YoY, to 930 thousand tons.

The growth was due to high purchasing prices of metal companies.

In Q1, metal companies received 837.7 thousand tons of scrap, up by 23.1% YoY. Stocks are estimated at 180 thousand tons.

Exports amounted to 49.1 thousand tons, up almost 3-fold YoY.

Ukraine imported 5.6 thousand tons of scrap, up from 3 thousand tons in Q1 2020. (Ukrainian metal)
