The US International Trade Commission will impose duties on the import of pipes from Interpipe.

The commission explains its decision by the damage to the American manufacturers from the Interpipe dumping while supplying pipes to the country.

Interpipe sold pipes at the price 42.2% below the economically justified level. The company supplied around 40 thousand tons of pipes valued at $40 million to the USA in 2019.

The antidumping investigation was initiated by Vallourec Star and was carried out from July 1, 2019 till June 30, 2020. The final decision on the size of the duty will be made on August 8. (Ukrainian metal)
