In January-July, Russia produced 176.3 tons of gold, down by 4.8% YoY.
The share of extracted gold totaled 85%, or 150.1 tons.
The rest accounts for secondary metal (16.4 tons) and by-product (9.8 tons), down by 46.8% and by 10.4% YoY respectively.
The Far Eastern Federal District produced 94.5 tons of gold, up by 6%, Siberia – 48.5 tons, up by 3%, and the Urals – 6.8 tons.
Krasnoyarsk region occupies the first place with 31.7 tons, followed by Magadan region with 24.3 tons and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with 18.8 tons.
Amur region increased output by 25.3%, to 16.2 tons. Primorye region demonstrated the largest drop – 39%.
Silver output amounted to 514.4 tons, down by 6.5%, with extracted metal accounting for 246.6 tons, by-product – 192.6 tons and secondary – 75.2 tons.
Magadan region, the main silver region in Russia, decreased output by 20%, to 89 tons. Chukotka produced 58.5 tons, down by 7.7%, and the Republic of Sakha – 47.9 tons, up by 59.6%. (Ukrainian metal)
