In January-July, output of ferrous metallurgy in Kazakhstan reached 918.5 billion tenge, down by 6.2% YoY.

The share of metal industry decreased from 35.7% to 31%.

3 regions account for 88% in the ferrous output. Thus, Karaganda produced 379.2 billion tenge worth of ferrous metal, up by 9.5%. It is followed by Pavlodar region and Aktyubinsk region.

Non-refined steel manufacture totaled 2.2 million tons, down by 18.7%, pig iron output dropped by 1.1%, to 1.7 million tons, and ferroalloys – by 0.1%, to 1.3 million tons.

Karaganda region accounted for over 80% of non-refined steel output (1.7 million tons), while Pavlodar region produced 774.2 thousand tons of ferroalloys and Aktyubinsk region – 443.1 thousand tons, or 95% combined. (Ukrainian metal)
