In January-April, Ukraine procured 913 thousand tons of scrap, down by 12% YoY.

901 thousand tons (98.7%) accounted for imported scrap.

Export decreased by 59%, to 12 thousand tons.

In April, metal companies received 13.1% more scrap than needed – 220.6 thousand tons as opposed to the need of 195 thousand tons.

The largest scrap customers were Azovstal (41.2 thousand tons), Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works (35.7 thousand tons), DMK (42.9 thousand tons), Zaporizhstal (16.4 thousand tons) and Interpipe Steel (44.6 thousand tons). (Ukrainian metal)
