In 2019 KAZ Minerals produced 311.4 thousand tons of copper, up by 6% YoY.
Gold output grew by 10%, to 201.5 thousand ounces mostly due to high contents in Bozshakol and Bozymchak ores.
Aktogay GOK produced 123 thousand tons of copper of sulfide ore, up by 16%, and 22.7 thousand tons of cathode copper of oxide ore, down by 12%. Thus, Aktogay has reached the highest output level – 145.7 thousand tons of copper, up by 11%.
Bozshakol manufactured 110.2 thousand tons of copper, up by 8%, and 144.8 thousand ounces of gold, up by 13%. Silver output grew by 21%, to 803 thousand ounces.
Eastern regions and Bozymchak decreased ore output from 979 thousand tons in Q3 2019 to 948 thousand tons in Q4 2019. In the whole year the group mined 3.88 million tons of ore, slightly down from 3.89 million tons in 2018.
Annual copper output was 10% below the 2018 level – 55.5 thousand tons, silver output totaled 2.02 million ounces and zinc concentrate – 38.3 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
