Zhambyl region governor Askar Myrzakhmetov has met with Aurum Deutschland AG representatives.
The company is constructing a large mining and processing works in the region.
The idea goes back to 2012, when the then-president Nursultan Nazarbayev invited German investors to develop projects in Kazakhstan.
In 2016 an agreement was signed with Aurum Deutschland AG.
The company intends to invest 329 million euros over 9 years in the project.
This year the construction of the processing works will be finished, and next year the company will start constructing a gold-extracting plant with the capacity of 5 tons per year. (Ukrainian metal)
