ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has invested $60 million in the reconstruction of its small-section mill No. 250-4.
Thanks to the reconstruction the mill now can produce rebars Nos. 8-24 in coils.
The commission and certification of the mill are scheduled for January-February 2020.
Manufacture of rebars in coils for sales will start in late Q1 2020.
Before reconstruction the mill could manufacture products only of square billets with the size of 80×80 mm. Now it can use 130×130 and 150×150 mm billets made at continuous casting machines. (Ukrainian metal)
