In January-November Ukraine decreased coal output by 6.8% YoY, to 28.412 thousand tons.
In particular, coking coal mining grew by 5.3%, to 5.605 million tons, while that of power-generating coal dropped by 9.3%, to 22.8 million tons.
Coal enterprises, subordinated to the Ministry of Economy and Energy in 11 months mined 3.343 million tons of coal, down by 11.7%, including 784.3 thousand tons of coking coal, up by 56.9%, and 2.559 million tons of power-generating coal, down by 22.2%.
Donetsk region mines extracted 10.143 million tons of coal, down by 0.2%, Lugansk – 313.1 thousand tons (-31.6%), Dniepropetrovsk – 16.632 million tons (-9.2%), Lviv – 1.257 million tons (-12.8%) and Volyn – 65.9 thousand tons (-30%). (Ukrainian metal)
