At the Gornaya mine in Lugansk region the miners have decided not to return to the surface after their shift.
Thus they have held a protest underground against not receiving salary.
The chairman of the Lugansk civilian-military administration Sergey Gayday has promised to pay the salary until November 15.
But the miners no longer believe the authorities and continue striking.
The strike could become the beginning of the large-scale miners’ protest, as salary debts to the state miners already exceed 1.5 billion UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
