In January-October Ukraine exported 40.736 thousand tons of ferrous scrap valued at $11.31 million, down 7.8-fold and 9.1-fold YoY respectively.
According to the State Fiscal Service, in October 103 tons of scrap were exported, in September – 3.551 thousand tons, in August – 155 tons, in July – 204 tons, in June – 208 tons, in May – 8.086 thousand tons, in April – 8.791 thousand tons, in March – 8.246 thousand tons, in February – 8.252 thousand tons and in January – 3.14 thousand tons.
In 10 months Ukraine imported 45.669 thousand tons of scrap valued at $29.495 million, up by 46% and by 1.8% YoY respectively.
The main suppliers were Turkey (59.16%), Russia (31.64%) and the Netherlands (2.26%).
At the same time the main customers were Turkey (86.71%), the Netherlands (6.45%) and Germany (4.84%).
In January-October Ukraine imported 1.462 thousand tons of directly reduced iron from Russia valued at $478 thousand. All the purchases were made in July-August. (Ukrainian metal)
