In July-October Kazakh coalmining companies intended to supply 775.8 thousand tons of coal to Ukraine via Russia, but the Russian Ministry of Economic Development approved only of 320.1 thousand tons.

According to the Association of Mining and Metal Enterprises deputy chairman Maksim Kononov, the country railways and budget were damaged by these limitations.

He noted, that some Ukrainian customers even cancelled their orders because of the delays in supplies.

At the same time, the Russian market is witnessing coal surplus. Thus, demand for coal from Kazakhstan dropped. (Ukrainian metal)
