Gold consumption by Russia’s jewelry industry fell by 0.24% YoY, to 25.002 tons, or 803,800 ounces, in January-September, a representative for the Assay Chamber of Russia reported.

The industry’s silver consumption decreased by 2.61%, to 80.374 toes, or 2.584 million ounces, in the period.

Russia’s gold jewelry production fell to 22.39 million items with a total weight of 41.67 tons in January-September compared to 22.49 million items with the weight of 41.77 tons in January-September 2018.
