The Center of metal products standardization and certification the Central Scientific and Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy named after Bardin has prepared the second edition of the interstate standard GOST 5640 “Steel. Metallographical method of rolled metal microstructure evaluation”.
The standard is being developed to replace the GOST 5640-68 in order to include a number of new features.
Moreover the old GOST is outdated. (Ukrainian metal)
