The start of the metal exports via sales at an exchange, scheduled for January 1, 2020, could be postponed.

The corresponding draft decree has been sent to the government.

In particular, the Ministry of Industry and Trade wants the exchange sales not to start in 2020, but wants some kind of a transition period.

The idea to sell scrap via exchanges sees this as “a non-discriminative access of local consumers to metal scrap and waste, which are now exported under unclear circumstances”. (Ukrainian metal)
