Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Azovstal have successfully passed the SASO certification audits necessary to continue exporting metal to Saudi Arabia.
The audit showed that the companies were controlling the quality when fulfilling orders.
The SGS Ukraine representatives inspected the steel manufacture, as well as documents to produce metal and make samples.
Metinvest companies have been cooperating with Saudi Arabia for over 5 years. During this time some 65 thousand tons of steel sheet have been supplied there. (Ukrainian metal)
