In January-July seaports of Ukraine increased metal and mining cargo transportation.
In particular, the transportation of ore grew by 29.5% YoY, to 20.15 million tons, while that of ferrous metals dropped by 2.1%, to 9.63 million tons.
According to the Ukrainian Associations of Seaports, rolled metal transportation increased by 1.2%, to 6.14 million tons, and other ferrous metals cargo by 12.8%, to 2.12 million tons.
Pig iron transportation decreased by 26.8%, to 1.34 million tons, and scrap – by 45.5%, to 31.42 thousand tons.
In particular, the export of ore increased by 9.5%, to 3 million tons at Nikolayev port, and by 47.5%, to 13.7 million tons at Yuzhniy Port.
Nikolayev port increased ferrous metals exports by 26.8%, to 2.05 million tons, Odessa port – by 13.3%, to 2.7 million tons, Chernomorsk – 2.1-fold, to 1.1 million tons, Kherson – by 19.3%, to 245.7 thousand tons, and Ismail – by 11.3%, to 123.2 thousand tons.
At the same time Mariupol port decreased ferrous metals exports by 19%, to 2.1 million tons, Yuzhniy Port – by 49.3%, to 926.8 thousand tons and Olvia – by 12%, to 353 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
