In January-April, Ukraine increased revenue from the exports of ferrous metals by 16.56% YoY, to $959 million.
According to the State Customs Service, ferrous metals accounted for 7.14% of all export revenue, up from 6.18% last year.
In April, ferrous metals exports brought $207 million to Ukraine.
In January-April, Ukraine increased ferrous metals import by 25.8%, to $454 million, with $131 million imported in April.
Moreover, Ukraine decreased exports of metal wares by 8.1%, to $306 million ($77 million in April), while imports grew by 47.2%, to $326 million ($92 million). (Ukrainian metal)
