In January-June Severstal sold 2.9 million tons of metal to Russian construction companies, up by 16% YoY.
This year the group decided to focus on end consumers and restructured its operation with metal traders.
The increase of sales was favored by the expansion of geography of sales and the development of logistics.
For example, Severstal Steel Decisions has carried out the farthest delivery of metal structures for the construction of a refrigerating warehouse to store frozen fish in the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The direct distance from the manufacturing site to the construction site was 7200 km.
Sales of rolled metal with polymer coating grew by 51%.
Severstal Distribution increased sales by 25%, to 550 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
