After a 9-month idleness the mill-1600 in the sheet-rolling shop of Krasniy Octyabr has resumed operation.

20 tons of stainless steel products have already been rolled.

The mill is used to produce cold-rolled sheet of nickel-containing steel with the thickness of 0.8 to 3 mm.

The mill was produced in 1932 by a German company. It was commissioned in 1934.

During the World War II it was destroyed, but restored in 1947, and it was operating until 1989, when it was shut down. (Ukrainian metal)
