Gold production on Russia’s Chukotka peninsula rose by 4.4 tons YoY, to 12.8 tons as of June 18, the regional government said in a statement.

The Tenkinsky district of the region was the leader with 7.9 tons, the Severo-Evensky produced about 1.2 tons, and the Srednekansky 1.1 tons.

Alluvial gold output started in May. The Yagodninsky district led with 699.5 kilograms, Susumansky produced 661.7 kilograms and Srednekansky 123.3 kilograms. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
