Until 2024 Severstal will invest 13 billion rubles in environment projects.
The fourth coke oven battery at ChMK produced its first coke after reconstruction in October 2018. Dust exhaust systems will be constructed there to decrease dust emission when producing, transporting and sorting coke.
The dust emission decrease is expected to reach 700 tons.
All in all Severstal intends to decrease gross pollution by 30 thousand tons per year by 2025. (Ukrainian metal)
