The development of sizes and grades of products according to foreign standards and demands of key customers is one of the priority tasks for Metinvest this year.
This year the group plans to master the manufacture of four new sizes of slabs and 19 new flat rolled products.
Some of the new products are already manufactured. Thus, Azovstal started manufacturing slabs with the thickness of 300 mm for customers in Europe and Asia. And the mill-3600 has mastered the manufacture of 11 types of plates.
Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works has begun producing HC260LA cold-rolled coils with new thickness – 0.6 mm. (Ukrainian metal)
