In 2019 Ukraine is expected to produce 22.641 million tons of steel, up by 7% YoY.
According to the Ministry of economical development and trade, rolled metal output will grow by 2%, to 18.8 million tons, and pig iron – by 4%, to 21.43 million tons.
At the same time, scrap deliveries to metal companies might drop by 8%, to 3.08 million tons.
Pipe manufacture will increase by 6%, to 1.174 million tons, while that of coke will fall by 2%, to 10.656 million tons, and metal wares – by 4%, to 180 thousand tons.
Iron ore output is forecast to increase by 4%, to 76.265 million tons, iron ore concentrate – by 6%, to 63.842 million tons, sinter – by 2%, to 32.454 million tons, and pellets – by 4%, to 22.145 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
