ArcelorMittal Temirtau is carrying out a project to replace dust-exhaust machinery in the sinter manufacture.
The cost of the project exceeds 1.2 billion tenge.
Sinter shop accounts for 23% of all dust pollution.
“This is not the first project to install bag filters at the sinter shop. In 2017 we put into operation bag filters at loading units Nos. 31 and 39, and another bag filter last year. This year we intend to commission two more bag filters in the sinter shop. The expected dust pollution decrease will reach 200 tons per year”, the company ecology director Galina Drozdova said.
