Severstal and the Italian company Tenaris will have started constructing the joint venture to produce welded pipes for oil and gas industry in Surgut by early 2020.
The capacity will reach 300 thousand tons per year.
The joint venture is expected to be created in 2 years.
On May 13, the deal was approved by the European Commission.
Some 500 jobs will be created. (Ukrainian metal)
