After a scheduled 2-week repair NLMK has put its blast furnace No. 7 Rossiyanka into operation.
The repair allowed the group to start reconstruction of the blast furnace No. 6.
The reconstruction, to last for some 130 days, will start in late May. During this period, Rossiyanka will provide over a third of all pig iron output.
NLMK operates five blast furnaces: No. 3 with the capacity of 1.6 million tons per year, No. 4 (2 million tons), No. 5 (2.8 million tons), No. 6 (3.2 million tons) and Rossiyanka (4.2 million tons). (Ukrainian metal)
