In January-March, Metinvest produced 1.941 million tons of steel, up by 6% YoY.
In particular, Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works produced 154 thousand tons and Azovstal – 62 thousand tons.
The increase is due to the absence of capital repairs of converters and the commissioning of the continuous casting machine.
Pig iron output dropped by 9%, to 1.957 million tons.
The manufacture of iron ore concentrate increased by 4%, to 7.204 million tons, and pellets – by 16%, to 1.992 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
